We're slowly hearing more dates for this tour. Wouldn't an official announcement be great? Here's what we have so far:
6/3 Philadelphia, PA Wachovia Center On Sale 4/23
6/4 Holmdel, NJ PNC Bank Arts Center On Sale 4/23
6/30 & 7/1 Atlantic City, NJ Borgata Casino On Sale 4/30
7/9 Chicago, IL Tweeter Center On Sale 5/9
7/16 New Orleans, LA New Orleans Arena On Sale 5/16
We're also hearing they're going to do VIP tickets through I Love All Access like Don and the Eagles have done in the past. Don't know if that will include a meet and greet, though.

Yes an official announcement would be MUCH appreciated from either the Nicks or Henley camp...
I need to start making plans, deciding where I'm going, etc etc. It looks like this is going to turn out just like Stevie's Vegas shows, no official announcement until all the dates are on ticketmaster and going on sale the next day..lol

Thanks so much for posting here! I'm wondering why they're playing where they're playing. Fleetwood Mac didn't even sell out the Wachovia. Why Wachovia and not Tweeter in Camden??

Thank you for the news! Wachovia? Indoors for better sound or maybe to protect Stevie's voice as much as possible. Lots of arenas. Between Henley/Eagles fans and Nicks/Fleetwood Mac fans this tour should do quite well. This tour, as short as it seems to be given the Eagles tour schedule and Don's solo work, should go great. Reading the liner notes on Don's and Stevie's albums reveals they have a lot of band and back up singers in common in the past (ha! even Sheryl Crow!), and they've done quite a few benefits together over the years. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they will put together. Sure, there's going to be some "givens," but, especially with Don being 1/2 of this duo, there could be some surprises. Stevie did "At Last" and a few other numbers for Don's benefits.

Then they should play the Spectrum as it is much smaller. PNC Bank is outdoors, Borgata is outdoors and I believe the Tweeter Center in Chicago is as well. Something just isn't adding up, IMO. I mean, yes, i'm happy this will give people a chance to see Stevie that aren't able to make it to Vegas but I just find the whole thing...odd

Great :distress: I wonder how much those will be? Frankly, I am sick of paying a lot of money just to be in the first few rows. I really wish that they would give the fans a break.

Stevie, Don, Jackson Browne, etc. It was a few days after the same lineup did a show at Universal for one of Don's environmental causes at the time, Mulholland Tomorrow.

Is that true.
The past has proven it to me... Boston was announced on a monday, I THINK U2 was as well. 2004 Fleetwood Mac was too (right?)
I have heard that from many sources and it would make sence b'cuz there are shows going on sale this saturday.

I haven't been down there recently to see what they did to the fabulous field the FM concert was on (we were all a little surprised about that setup). I wonder if they'll be in the events center or the music box. One seats about 3,700 and the other, 1,000. For that kind of money, i'd hope everyone has an excellent seat.

i know that was a big joke...reminds me of a big giant highschool football field or something. plus tons of people were in the parking lot watching for free.

My parents went with me to Atlantic City, but didn't go to the show. We had a room at the Borgatta. After they had dinner that night, while I was at the show, they watched the last few songs up on the roof of the parking garage!

I have to call this venue this morning to see if this is true about now being an indoor venue? It was only in September that the Mac was there outside..they tore it down and rebuilt an indoor venue since then? That venue sucked and I hope its gone..big ole wall in front of the stage and whatnot but I am skipping AC anyway..the prices are too high.
What is wrong with this whole thing? The tickets go onsale this Saturday for our two shows and there is NOTHING on TM or the Fix or anything. Unorganization...
Pattie..I agree..I hate when blocks of great seats are held for the super high prices and the meet and greet. Stevie does not normally do alot of meet and greets and no offense to the Henley fans, I am not that into meeting him at all. Now Joe Walsh? Yea...but not Don so much. I am paying face value for whatever I see this summer and a boatload for Vegas because its just her.

The indoor venue has been there for awhile - they've had several shows and boxing matches there. I thought they were building yet another indoor venue??
I also recall that the outdoor FM show was the first one they had.

During the summer since Borgata has been built, Maxim has thrown parties and concerts outdoors at a venue that is outside. I don't think it's the same "venue" as where the FM concert was held.
I know presently they have two indoor venues...music box and the events center. As far as Fleetwood Mac being the first outdoor show, they have definitely had events outside but I think they were on a much smaller scale in a different location somewhere around the Borgata.

I AM happy for all you guys who couldn't do Vegas that these dates are happening.
What the hell is going on with how they are being released though? No official word..just trickling out with little to NO press. When Mac tickets were onsale in Philly..it was pushed heavily on the radio. I heard ONCE that Stevie was coming to Philly this summer but the same station also said the Mac was coming in the summer of 06.
Not a word on the Fix or FM.com or anything. This smacks of a smaller promotor or something. If I did not frequent this board, I would have NO idea tickets for my two shows go onsale this Saturday. I am really curious to see how these shows sell...how long before we get some of that infor? do we have to wait until AFTER the gigs to figure out if it was a successful venture? I guess someone somewhere probably sees how the venues are selling when tickets go onsale.
They must because the brokers have been RAISING their prices for Vegas and it appears that no tickets have sold, ie , they still have the same damn seats they had a month ago. I called and the dude told me it was "selling well" so they raised the prices?!?

You're right it is a kind of odd way to start a tour, by waiting to the last second to even confirm it....It's hard to tell how a show sells at first, because often you can't base it on what kind of tickets are left...Usually an article or something ends up mentioning the success so far of tickets, after they go on sale...And yes if a show is selling well they do raise the prices...usually lowering the prices is the best indication of not selling well...Sometimes brokers will get MANY more than just a few seats in a row...usually more than 20, to sell, so while they may have say ORCH Row B listed forever...doesnt necessarily mean they have the same tix sitting around...when they sell tix..they buy more...brokers def. have connections
Chris

Also to add...these shows still have a good chance of selling well..although they may not sell out quick...one everything is confirmed, and summer comes closer the buzz will generate...a lot of times tours like these sell better when the dates get closer

It depends on the venue.. i've gotten good seats through ticketmaster a few times in the smaller cities.. obviously, places like Boston, New York, etc are going to be much tougher because more tickets are going to be given to the ticket broker cartel..

i had problems with the june pittsburgh show (the hole in my heart never ceases to bleed for that show)... i think i paid too much for third row seats at that crap venue out at Star Lake, but i ended up paying more than twice as much for my Borgata tix. can't hate the brokers too much, else i wouldn't have gotten the seats, i just hate that you become forced to pay out to brokers instead of the band.

Yeah, this is what I told hubby. And I know he'd rather be going to see the Phillies, so I told him we'd go to a game another night.
Why is the info so slow to come out? Philly isn't even listed on TM yet. I wonder if there will be any type of presale.
I thought about going to A.C., but I've never been to the Borgota, & I like the Wachovia Center. I've been there a few times & I know the seating. And it's the very first show which is cool. :blob2:

Guys, they're not going to be playing the full arenas. More than likely, unless the demand is there (which it won't be), they're planning on cut-down arenas. Anywhere from 7K-11K seats, possibly even less.

Actually Philly is listed on TM now. It wasn't last night, though. But I want to know why some shows are listed as Stevie Nicks and some are listed as Stevie Nicks/Don Henley. Is it possible some shows will strictly solo Stevie? That doesn't make sense to me.

HOLY CRAP..Riss the Philly show is the FIRST show?!? What the hell? What an odd place to start and why are there no Cali shows?? I did hear from someone pretty reliable that the tour will end at the end of July..but it does not look that way if there are no Western shows listed yet?! This just gets odder and odder.
OMG..I just realized there are TWO Jones Beach shows? Oh my. The Mac couldnt even sell that place out. This is  .

Also, didn't i read somewhere that Henley solo only sells about 1,000 out of 3,000 in an amplitheather. Stevie pulls in about 7,000 max now a days. I don't know how this is going to work but hey its great shes still going.

A cut-down arena is when they sell only a portion of the arena's seats, pull the curtains to cover a great deal of the empty area, and reconfigure the seating so that it's a smaller, intimate show.
Most markets don't have a venue that's the size they're looking for, so it's easiest to just play an arena, and cut down capacity. It's becoming more popular.

The cut-down arena makes much more sense. I saw Dolly Parton in such a setup last year and it was a pretty good environment.
I love my Stevie, but I highly doubt she can draw 7K this year. This tour is pure nostalgia with no new music. Plus the Eagles and FM have been all over the country the past couple of years.
I predict a bit of a bust with this tour, hoping I'm wrong. I'm much happier to go to an arena, cut-down or not, than a shed. I swore I would never go back to an awful shed no matter what.

warning to tampa bay fans: the show at ford amp will suck. the venue was poorly designed and so many neighbors have complained they can't use half of the sound system. hope that it's seats-only because the lawn tix aren't even worth it. i saw jimmy buffett there last month and (from the foggy bits that lumber to mind) you can't hear a thing from the lawn. i swore i would never pay to see another show there. thankfully i won't be tested - i'll be vacationing elsewhere this summer.

I hope this is correct...the Gwinnett Arena is in a perfect part of town...much nicer than Philips, and a little smaller, it doesnt go as high up...Fleetwood Mac played the Gwinnett Arena in Sept of 03, great show, awesome sound there (I had 2nd row for that one, straight from ticketmaster)..Fleetwood Mac played 3 shows in Atlanta in 03-04, all sold very well...
Stevie and Don together will be able to draw a lot of crowds, you might be surprised...you say it's just nostalgia...well that's what sells concert tickets. The majority of Mac fans that saw them on tour, didnt come because they bought the new CD..shit nearly half the ppl there had no idea they had a new cd out till they saw it at the merch stands...
This is the perfect tour for soft classic rock fans..

No argument that it will draw on the nostalgia factor. I question whether it will draw thousands of people to indoor arenas. This tour can't really be compared to Fleetwood Mac--their draw is unique regardless of new music.
I could see this bill bringing a few thousand people to sheds because a lot of people like that summer outdoor experience and this would make a great summer night show. Warm weather, a few drinks, and a night of nostalgia.
But will the same crowd go to a basketball arena to see Stevie Nicks and Don Henley? Something tells me probably not. I predict 3/4 full arenas. Hope I'm wrong though.

In the Philly area they call it the Spectrum Theatre, when they hold thes shows in the old Spectrum, but this show apparently is in the new building.

Pine Knob/DTE is a very cool, clean, little amphitheater that I think doubles as some sort of bunny hill ski area in the winter. Be careful, the lawn is very steep.
I have a very soft spot in my heart for the blue collar city that 40 years ago was one rockin' town.
Just be careful where you stay there.
I have been there twice and have really enjoyed it both times. :)

Cool - thanks for the tips. Luckily I can do Detroit and drive home - the adrenaline alone is amazing for staying awake on that four hour drive. I absolutely loved the venue last year (wait a minute - is this the same one? Pine Knob doesn't sound familiar - but DTE does), primarily because the stage was low (and I got to shake Stevie's hand... oh, but I digress...). What was I saying about adrenaline? Anyhow, after the stage from hell in, where was it... ooooh... brain fart... anyway, there was some venue where the stage was, like, 12 feet high, I am very careful about where I travel long distances to! :)

I want an official list of tour dates now! I don't want to get too excited about the Florida tour dates on this list because no other source confirms it. I really wish the Tampa and Miami shows were popping up on ticketmaster but they are not right now, so I am worried that that could be false info.

I think Peter played on that set, which I mean WHY. Maybe she was having an affair with jhim as she is not scared to haul them out from time to time to play in her sets (Mick, Don , LB, Jimmy I (drums on Sara) , etc. ) - but I think it was someone else who actually danced with her. Might I add, if memory serves me correctly, her took quite a chiffon and beaded shawl thrashing
