.... new demos appear.
I'd never heard Farewell or Friend from Yesterday, which are posted right now at bellaillume.com. Anyone know when they're from? Is that Lindsey playing Farewell?

I don't know where they're from or if that's Lindsey, but I wanted to ask what y'all think about them. I listened to "Friend From Yesterday" and didn't like it, but I haven't listened to "Farewell" yet.

I have to say, I didn't love Friend From Yesterday, either. But I did quite like Farewell. Clearly, it's just a working demo, but the melody is really nice.

Friend From Yesterday is also called All These Years and I think it's a RAL era demo. I don't like it. Farewell seems ok but I have no idea what it's from .

That's Danny Kirwan singing on "Farewell." Probably circa 1971 or 1972.
Now what da hell is it doing on a Stevie compilation??

More like 1970. It was an early demo for what became "Earl Gray" on Fleetwood Mac's 1970 "Kiln House" album. Still, it's curious as to why it would be on a Stevie compilation, and lends credit to a point that I made on the Christine board: Stevie and Lindsey sound eerily like Danny Kirwan. So much so, it fooled a Stevie die-hard.
