These are much better!
It is hard to comprehend how Stevie or Don will make any money on this tour..their guarantees cannot be that high I guess. Who knows..maybe they are and I just dont get it.
I am thinking of hitting this show. I like the Holmdel venue, the stage is low, security is cool and since I only want to do ONE cause of Don..this might be it.

Rest assured there is money to be made...otherwise Don Henley of all people would NOT be on this tour, and neither would Stevie for that matter..they could have relatively high guarantees also..

This is the kind of show I would not being far back for. And the $25 lawn seats are a deal for a double bill, esp. in that venue.

If they play Chastain, I will not buy a ticket. I hate that place with a vengence. They have consistently screwed me over and the people that work there are complete and total a$$holes. I think Lakewood is more of a possibility though. Interestingly, they were not on the ASO Summer Chastain sseries that was in the paper last weekend. So, they are either going to be added later (which is rare) - on the other series at Chastain, or they are not going there. Hopefully, they are not going there. Sadly, I live about a mile from it so it is sooooo convenient. But, the inconvenience is a small price to pay to avoid that hell hole.
We should know soon though because the schedules are being set for those venues as we speak.
Also, I do not think Philips or Gwinett are an option as they are too large.
Let's touch base when we hear something!!!! :D

I dunno...Hi Fi Buys Amp is larger than Gwinnett Arena really...I would say either Gwinnett Arena or Hi Fi Buys....I am sick of Chastain, especially with the mess they pulled with Fleetwood Mac tickets..it's an incredible and exquisite place to see a show, if they were not hell bent on ripping real fans and giving EVERYTHING to season holders and VIP....i can do with out those candle bastards anyway...
I havent seen a show at Hi Fi Buys since 1998 when I saw Metallica there, I was on the lawn...I love the place tho...Gwinnett arena is also really nice...of course like i said in another thread it all depends on WHEN they play in Atlanta, because I'm moving to Calif in early July

Naturally! I am going to see what I can get when they go onsale..on the 23rd. If I can get a pair in the first couple rows, of course I will grab em. I really do not care about being close for this but if it's there, hey I will take it. I can always resell if we decide to bail.
I "really" hope she doesn't get behind Don and tap his shoulders, ala Landslide for any songs. I really really hope she does not try to play that card. Lordy.

This is GREAT news. I agree with most of you. NOW I'm excited. 125 is the same as Fleetwood Mac but weren't their lawn seats still like 40 dollars. So overall this tour is slightly cheaper as it should be.

Again, Ticketbastard will make sure nothing in the first 10 rows are made available to the general public... They are waaaay too obligated to the ticket brokers... so while $125.00 a ticket sounds like a good price.. it'll really be more like $300.00+ per ticket once the brokers get their sleazy hands on them..

I doubt they will be on stage together at the same time during the whole set... it just won't happen (except for Leather And Lace)... so, that means Stevie will be up first... then after "Has Anyone Ever Written", Don will take the stage.. i hope he likes playing to a 1/3 capacity house.. ;)

Dreamms..the show is on a Monday, the sixth and tickets go onsale on Saturday.
Actually, talk around yonder is that this is going to be a combined set. As in one or two songs by one, then one or two by the other, a song together, yada yada. Not one playing a half set then the other going. It may not be the norm but that is what people are saying that seem to know what they are talking about from talking directly to people involved. . *example..legacy board* I was planning on skipping Don's part and either getting their later or leaving earlier but now that won't be possible, if they are doing this semi joint thing. It appears they could be using the same band too.
It seems very odd how these dates are being released. I mean we have a smattering of dates and ticket sale dates. We have not gotten a list, like usual. Perhaps there has been some trouble with booking them? I mean they are not coming out with the list of places, instead we have a date here and another one there, and no definative answers on much.

PNC Bank Arts Center (Holmdel) is a very nice venue... it's actually quite beautiful when the weather is good... it's considered an outdoor venue, but there is a roof that protects the entire arena, except for the lawn seats.. my only complaint is that the stage is set back kinda far, so even if you have 1st row seats, Stevie will still be quite far from you (about the distance of 8th row in any other venue)..

I actually would see shows closer to you if possible. Holmdel is nice and I disagree about the stage being set far back. I had second row for SYW and leaned on the stage they entire time. Stevie and Lindsey were right there. Stevie was very ill so she was not too into the audience but Lindsey? He was playing right in front of us and I put my hand on his boot the entire time he played his Come solo. **swoon* Damn the memories.
It is a nice venue but in North Jersey. Sometimes, depending on what other shows are booked it could be considered a NY show and industry people be there. I imagine they will play JOnes Beach or some other NYC venue but if not, this could be the show where lots of suits attend.
Other random thoughts about the place. I really like the set up. The stage was low and I am short so that rocked. Security was fantastic and did not bother us once. There was a roof over the seats in case of rain, unlike Jones Beach, where we and the band were rained on most of the night.
Parking was expensive if you wanted to be close. Free if you wanted to park far away and catch a bus. Yup, a bus. like a schoolbus. They pick you up and drive you up to the entrance which was different. It is also easy to find if you are travelling, it is directly off of the parkway. Overall, it was one of my favorite shows...the venue being a small part of why.

Kelly, let me correct myself.. it's not actually the stage itself that is set far back, it's the mic stands that are quite a distance away.. When you compare it to other venues in the area, like Jones Beach, MSG, Continental Airlines Arena, etc, the stage "setup" at PNC is much further away than at those other places...

One thing I'm glad about this for, is the people who can't make it to Vegas. Although I wish everyone and their mom could come to Vegas, I'm so very happy that those who can't will still have an opportunity to see Stevie, and for reasonable prices. Especially, too, the poeple in Nawlins, oops, Louisiana, cause apparently Mac never goes there!

Good gravy. Do not remind me about mic stands and Jones Beach. Normally the shows there are super but the last SYW show there? When Stevie was just getting over her sickness was so bad. They had their mics pushed back as far as they could from the edge..seriously Stevies mic was practically on top of Mick's drum case. I wanted to cry when I saw it but I understood why. Miss Stevie was hoping not to be rained on. Lindsey did not appear to care and kept walking out when he did not have to sing. The SYW little dance thing was waaayyyy back directly in front of Sharona to avoid the raindrops.
The show before that at JB was super fab and yes, the mics were very close to the edge of the stage.
Crap, I should try to stay on topic. I wonder why a list of these show dates has not been forthcoming? This trickle effect is sort of annoying.

I was at both those shows too Kelly... i remember the rain in 2004, too ;)
Stevie must have been wearing about 50 layers that night, but she looked gorgeous...
Both great shows, though... The stage setup was quite different in 2003 vs. 2004... i actually liked the way they did it in 2004 (besides the mic stands).. it made the Jones Beach stage look bigger or something..
