Someone is supposedly recording them on DVD. If they can pull it off. Security is supposed to be very tight at this venue.

No bloody way will anyone be recording any of those shows with a camera unless they have security in their pocket.

I thought you were gonna say something like, "Do you think Stevie will wear her boots at all the Vegas shows?" :D

I just saw this rad new sony recorder. It literally looks like it's the size of a tall pack of cigs (before the little screen is folded out). Amazing! maybe someone has one of those and can pull it off.

I plan on being successful with this... it's just going to be an audio recording, but my equipment is small and it is high quality.. I'm sure security will be tight at this place, but i doubt they will make me strip down to my underwear.. which is what they would have to do to stop me.. :p
... i will envy anyone who can actually get a DVD of these shows, though... it will most likely not be easy..

Yeah, I've heard of someone filming the shows... trying for all of them as well. Plus another that's going for the audio end of it....
The more attempts at it the better, cause this just ups the chances of at least one of the shows (or more) being recorded....
Good luck with it!
And I've heard conflicting accounts of how security is at this venue.. some say it's on the tight side, some say it isn't... so let's hope it's a little relaxed!

The first count of bootlegging is a $500,000 fine and/or (?) 5 years prison. Second count? $1,000,000 fine, 10 years prison. Those are criminal remedies available.
Not that anyone will get caught, or prosecuted, but that is sure to be on my quiz tonight, so I thought I'd write it.... More broadly that's for violating the Digital Millenium Copyright Act.

OMG, are u serious??? Well, I don't think that applies to people recording a show for their own personal use.. as far as i know, all they could really do is confiscate the recorder in the worst case scenario... I doubt they will spring a $500,000 fine on a fan who may or may not be a "bootlegger"..

Exactly... the more chances the better... the only time i was ever unsuccessful sneaking in my recorder was in Atlantic City, another casino... but someone still managed to record the show anyway... good luck to you as well ;)

The dude who recorded a bunch of SYW shows on dvd seemed to get seats up in the first mezzanine level. Perhaps it will be easier to film up there but I'm not sure. Audio should not be that much of a problem but video? I really hope so.

The Uruguay Act - "It is illegal to record live concerts" No, I doubt anyone would press charges.

I just hope they can pull it off. I remember that the last three SYW shows were going to be filmed as well and so far, they have not surfaced. No audio either of that fantastic Camden show with the beautiful Say Goodbye dedication.
Hopefully, they will be successful at filming at least ONE night.

I don't know why someone didn't record the Borgata Atlantic City show. There were people setting up their tripods at the show and I asked security and they didn't give a flying fig if you had a camera. So I took pictures all night long. Of course, my film got exposed and 99% of them were ruined! Go figure!
