Danny pictures?

Anybody who have seen or maybe has got a recent picture of Danny?

The most recent I've seen if from 1993.

That's the most recent I've seen too - I assume there are photos from his 50th birthday at the very least, but the family being as private as they are, I guess there's little chance of them ever getting out to us.

Anybody else got any rare photos of Danny?

I just visited the site. It had quite some nice information. I could'nt resist to e-mail the site holder on the fact that I missed one very important Danny Kirwan composition: One Sided Love, of which I am the glad owner of three live recordings. Two from Holland: Amsterdam (as found on "Roughage") and Den Haag (the best of the three), and one from The College of Distributive Trade. It's a pity that they never got to record this one in the studio. It would have been an excellent track for "Then Play On", or even better, "Blues Jam at Chess".

Hi Wouter - welcome to the Ledge! I remember from our disc trade last fall that you're a big fan of "One-Sided Love".

Wouter plays guitar in a band called the Blues Blasters. He sent me a disc of a live show from last June and they're very good! They even do "The Stumble" :thumbsup:

Yes, it's a nice and quite sad picture.. I guess it was taken just before Danny was kicked out of the F.M. He was in very bad shape, which the picture almost can tell.. I've been told that he would drink beer instead of eating solid food, for weeks. Very self-destructive stuff. Poor Danny, he looks so lost and lonely on that picture.. :(

Most of the ones I have are all pretty easy to find on the net - no rare ones I'm afraid. The only other one I have is this one, from a "Hello There Big Boy" press-kit. I think the pic is from about '75 or '76 though.

Yes, "One Sided Love" is my favorite Danny's song as it captures his unique vibrato.
