What a fit looking 70+ year old he is. The support act was Stan Webb calling himself Chicken Shack, who was surprisingly good. No sign of Christine Perfect ((McVie)though. Many years ago I saw them in the original line up at a Blues North West gig. She was wearing blue jeans and white trainers (and some sort of top I am sure) Fell in love then and she is still an attractive woman.
4. Big Brit Blues Package
With 2003 touted as the Year of the Blues, "The Best of the British Blues, Volume 1 and Volume 2" will be released in two weeks. Each album will contain 12 tracks highlighting Eric Clapton, Paul Rodgers, John Mayall, Fleetwood Mac and many others in their early days. "Volume 1" starts with a 1965 rarity from the Graham Bond Organization featuring future Cream members Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker. John Mayall's Bluesbreakers are spotlighted with three tracks: "All Your Love" (with Clapton on guitar), "Double Trouble" (with guitarist Peter Green, a founding member of Fleetwood Mac), and "Oh, Pretty Woman" (with guitarist Mick Taylor, a future Rolling Stone). Jethro Tull also began as a blues band, and their contribution to the collection is "Cat's Squirrel." "The Best of the British Blues, Volume 2" contains more of the Bluesbreakers with Clapton, and a rare version of "Need Your Love So Bad" by Fleetwood Mac. Additionally, Chicken Shack with Christine Perfect, later known as Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac, are also featured with a track. Sounds like a collector's dream.
