She looks really happy and is looking at him adoringly - what a shame it did not last and was, according to her, a mistake and for the wrong reasons.

Luckily it all ended rapidly and they stayed friends: Stevie always speaks in such a nice way of Kim. :)

I wonder if she's ever gotten the chance to do her "meet with Matthew and give him all his mother's things" deal she always talks about??

The dude is probably 22 now and who the hell wouldn't want to accept a direct invitation to get the chance to be Stevie family? Imagine all the demos that guy could listen to? I would freeek out.

I did hear one interview where she wasn't quite as complimentary, but I don't remember which one! She talked about how controlling he was and how he wouldn't let her out of the house! Can you imagine the war that went on in their household?

Me, too, but i think that stevie has nice peacemaker bones in her body, and since then has probably calmed down and decided to be diplomatic..
I love her! :p

I think I remember that she said she was shooting the video for Stand Back when this thing blew up. Maybe that explains her temporary insanity for those weird dancers!

I think that Stevie is a good peacemaker, but I also see her as very feisty when backed into a corner. I can totally see her flipping out like she did when LB decided to back out on the Tango tour.

Has anyone ever read an article in which Stevie said she was genuinely in love with Kim at one point? I know that I wasn't there and I don't know any of these people personally, but I can't help but find that difficult to believe anyway.

And I'm with Amber, the black lace doesn't work with the white dress to me.

Well here's an interesting tidbit-

A couple of years ago I was at a party at my best friend's house. It was between Christmas and New Year's so she had some family there including a cousin who lived I think in the midwest somewhere (I can't remember where).

Anyway the conversation eventually turned to my obsession with Stevie/Fm - as it tends to do and the cousin was like, "oh you're a Stevie Nicks fan?"

And I said yes, and she said that she had this friend who says he's Stevie's Stepson...

So without missing a beat I say, "Matt Anderson?" And this girls eyes got all big and she looked a little creeped out and asked how I knew about that....and I told her the whole situation was basically general knowledge....

She was wowed and said that he was a good guy - not a close friend of hers, more like a friend of friends - but the first time they hung out she says he did say that He and Stevie keep in touch and apparently she did or does have a fund for him that he's probably old enough to use now...

She's met his dad, Kim, and said she didn't talk to him much so she didn't have a real impression of him...

She then got on the phone to her and Matt's mutual friend and got Matt's phone number and then called him - but he wasn't home hahaha....

Strange night - I haven't kept in touch with my friend's cousin though this friend is one of my best... - but this thread totally reminded me of that night -

 I had no idea. Maybe for him to see Stevie spending the first night of their honeymoon writing Stand Back, was the sign she was planning to become a housewife. ;)

Stevie has has said it was 6 months before, but below I believe she's claiming 3 months

"And we were the only two that could really understand the depth of the grief that we were going through. And I was determined to take care of that baby, so I said to Kim, 'I don't know, I guess we should just get married.' And so we got married three months after she died, and it was a terrible, terrible mistake. We didn't get married because we were in love, we got married because we were grieving and it was the only way that we could feel like we were doing anything. And we got divorced three months later. "

yeah, I recall Chris saying she didn't get them a wedding present, and that 'it didn't seem like crazy love' to her. I think she knew why their reasons for doing it, but certainly didn't think it was a wise decision.

FWIW shortly after she got married (and me not knowing anything about who Kim was, or about Matthew etc) , there was a photo and blurb of her in Creem, I think, w/ the caption along the lines of "Looking more like a suburban mother-to-be than a rock star"- and the in the photo she almost did look pregnant--and I read that and started going crazy in the car, telling my parents that Stevie was going to have a baby. I remember my mom said something like "Guess that's why she got married so fast." :D I should try to locate that....
