So, when you first heard this eccentric "Smile at You" line, did you immediately think it to be sexual?

No, I never did and still don't think it is sexual at all. It's emotional.

I just think it means she is f-ing pissed beyond belief.

Maybe I am just nuts. My Mom and I have been listening to the angry version of "Smile at You" a lot in the last week, and every time Stevie sings that line, she starts giggling. Today she said, "I'm sorry, but there's no way that isn't about what I think it's about. It reminds me of that song, 'Sugar Walls.'" I forgot who sings that tune. But apparently there isn't any question about that one. Even if Stevie really does mean the "room's all on fire," then didn't it at least occur to her that people would take that line differently? I know I would have thought that if I were recording the song. :o

Well, that's a gimme. :] :xoxo:
Anywho....some think Sister Honey is in reference to a female body part, so "my walls are flaming" could also be along those lines. As Stevie would you, "whatever you want it to be."
SISTA! SISTA!

SISTA! SISTA! I think "Sister Honey" is about a female body part, but I don't buy into that idea that it's a lesbian song, really. As much as I would like for her to, I don't think Stevie would write a romantic or sexual ditty about a woman. Come on now, don't make me make another poll for the "Sister Honey" question! I bet most people would just say, "Who cares? The song is crap!"
Nice little sig there, by the way. :D

Even though I believe Stevie to have a total pervy sense of humor depending on who she's around (I truly do), I think she's enraged here and it has nothing to do with--well, you know. Although I will admit, whenever I'm listening to the song, I still have to laugh a bit and how can you not?

She is beyond pissed off with that line. Yeah, it could make you the think the other way, but the context of the song...nah.

It certainly makes one read John Stewart's dedication to Stevie on his 1979 album in a slightly different . . . er, light.
Stewart writes: "Special thanks to Stevie Nicks for the magic and the use of her wall."

That would be a better sexual reference. Stevie should publish Kama Sutra: Nicks Style...it wouldn't sell without pictures.

I've never thought that "my walls are flamin'" was sexual. To me it just means that she is way pissed off and angry.

With that hip of hers? She probably has a hard enough time with the missionary, let alone the Suvarnanabha.

No. She's angry.
I think she is angry with that line as well. I also think she knew it was overtly sexual and she relished in the double entendre - just like she did with "the lonliness of a one night stand is hard to take" - who did not think that was about a sexual "one night stand" when they first heard it - I certainly did  - as opposed to the musical "one night stand" and the resulting lonliness afterward that she says that line refers to.

Now I know I'm not the only perv who's asked myself this question! "Sugar Walls" was Sheena Easton and it was admittedly about the female anatomy. But "My walls are flamin'" isn't as overt. But there is some sexuality in the song, she is talking about another after she says "my walls are flamin'" when going into, "she's so willing, little one...". I've always assumed the latter to be about whomever so willingly slept with Lindsey. So I think that her line is sexual but it is a raging sexuality. Dude, her vagina is pissed! LOL!!! Sorry.

Hmm, I don't think the song is about Lindsey. I am not sure when it was written but it kind of sounds like the whole Mick affair.
It sounds like SN is cheating with someone who in turn ends up cheating on her.
Now that I listen to the song again I think it could be sexual.
