Let's make some noise! As we get closer to a possible new solo album from Stevie, we just have to make it known that we want a Music Video DVD Collection!! Who's with me?!? Time and time again I roll out of bed and go to watch my Stevie music videos, with superior picture and sound quality... and realize that I don't have them. :distress:

Here's the list that I came up with - please revise it to your liking, adding anything that I missed, etc...

Edge Of Seventeen
Stop Draggin My Heart Around
Insider
Leather & Lace - Live
Stand Back
(Stand Back - Civil War Version)
If Anyone Falls
Talk To Me
I Can't Wait
Rooms On Fire
Whole Lotta Trouble
Sometimes It's A Bitch
Blue Denim
If You Ever Did Believe
Everyday
(Bootlylicious)
Sorcerer

I made myself a nice little VHS video collection once, sticking mainly to songs that were singles, with a few extras here and there:

Rhiannon (Rosebud)
Dreams (Paris soundcheck promo video)
Sara (Tusk Documentary)
Sisters Of The Moon (Mirage Tour -- which is a bit anachronistic given its placing on my tape, but this version is my favorite)
Stop Draggin' My Heart Around
Leather & Lace (live video)
Edge Of Seventeen (unreleased video/alternate version -- without the "storyline")
Insider
Gypsy
Stand Back
If Anyone Falls
Nightbird (Saturday Night Live)
Talk To Me
I Can't Wait
Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You (Live at Red Rocks)
Seven Wonders
Rooms On Fire
Whole Lotta Trouble
Freedom (Sound-Gig Japan appearance)
Sometimes It's A Bitch
Love's A Hard Game To Play (Arsenio Hall Show)
Paper Doll
Blue Denim
Silver Springs (The Dance)
Landslide (David Letterman)
If You Ever Did Believe
Rhiannon (Storytellers)

One of these days I'd like to go through and do a new version... similar to the above, but adding "Gold Dust Woman (Japan 1977)," "Gold & Braid (In Concert: 1981)" and the videos released since I put my tape together: "Every Day," "Sorcerer" and "Say You Will."
I'd probably add "Beautiful Child" and "Goodbye Baby" from 'Live In Boston' too.

At any rate, that would be my dream DVD, but it would never happen... too many rights issues to work out, etc.
But if they could just exclude the Mac videos from the above list, and include everything else, it would still be pretty cool in my book.

Great video compilations  !
I'd also like some Woodstock '98 (especially Landslide, Rhiannon, Edge Of Seventeen and HAEWAFY), some AHI 2000 (lt's Late, Solitary Man, Gypsy acoustic), Gold Dust Woman and Strong Enough with Sheryl Crow, Sara from Madison 2004... VH1 was there, who knows, maybe they've been bright enough to film it. :)

It's interesting... Watching Stevie and the band lipsynch... Stevie messes up in one place that I know of. They all look abit stiff if you ask me, but it's interesting to see. I wonder if it was a radio single in those parts or something.

She always messes up when she has to lip synch. In a German tv show in '97 she forgot to 'sing' a whole sentence LOL. But I love her anyway.

Awesome list, Brian. My list was obviously just the solo career released videos (MTV, VH1).... but I would love to see Gypsy and others on *the same* DVD. Awww, I guess we'll take what we can get!! :)

Her performance of Silent Night as it is that time of year and the song has been on the radio lately so it has stuck out in my mind.

I have a DVD with all the tracks ya listed except for "Bootylicious"...

I wished a Greatest video compilation would be released to finally have clear versions of the Edge of Seventeen, Blue Denim & Stand Back (Civil War edition) videos (The DVD I just received have great crystal clear versions of "Rooms on Fire" & "Whole Lotta Trouble"...The only video on the DVD that I never saw before was "Insider" w/Tom Petty.)

Every live performance needs to be released so we could veg out gracefully in front of the tv.

If Stevie was disappointed with them back then, she's probably either doubly disappointed today or she's completely forgotten about them.
The only video on the DVD that I never saw before was "Insider" w/Tom Petty.Better even than that soundstage lip-sync job that we've all seen (besides, I think it's on a Tom Petty video compilation) would be some live footage of "Insider" from the 1981 Heartbreakers tour.

FAR better . . . .

footage of Stevie singing the live version of "Insider" with TP from his "Pack Up The Plantation...Live" album release, That's if it really exists as has long been rumored.

There may be footage but it may not necessarily be from that performance. That show was an '81 show at the Forum (L.A.). She showed up with the Heartbreakers five or ten times that year on their tour (including the Cow Palace & Meadowlands in June, the Meadowlands again in July, Irvine Meadows in September, a bunch of Florida shows in October, & Patty here on this forum saw them in Boston that year too). It would be nice to think that some of that was filmed, even if the footage was never used.

That's where John holds the penguin at the zoo! That was a crazy 20/20, but the show seemed amazing.
