They just set up the page to submit questions on the nicksfix. I would love to ask Lori how she can stand being married to such a pig.

I'm sure there are better questions you can think of

I'm sure she'd appreciate that.

Why the thumbs down? I for one appreciate Sharon & Lori taking the time to do this and look forward to hearing from them. They're among Stevie's closest friends and have been directly involved in the recording process since the inception of her solo career... should have some interesting insights.

I asked Kermit that very question during a Q&A with the Muppets once, and he said marriage to a pig was swill. Err, swell.

lol Brian

Sharon and the girls are the best - To think that they've been in all the recording sessions, the tours... they have a wealth of experience with Stevie and FM, so it's generous of them to give us their time to share some of it with us.

Sounds good. Two thumbs up!

(This is totally unrelated but why does my hand smell like an apple?? Strange..)

I'm completely excited about this new endeavor, but I have no idea what to ask...the possibilities are endless.

I'm excited about it too..it's a great idea..And Sharon and Lori are my two favorite background singers! Plus Lori is even MORE of an inside connection, she's Stevie's sister in law and lives at her house

 I'm really excited about this. I'm glad they're taking time out of their busy lives to answer our questions, and I've got plenty for 'em too!!

I don't know. I would assume that they wouldn't be as busy, but who knows?
I don't know much about their personal lives. I only know what's on the singers' pages on the nicksfix which isn't much.

or the only one rude enough

I mean this is such a tired topic - the point has been made 1,000 times and their teenage daughter surfs the net and sure as hell does not need you people bashing her dad no matter what you think or how true it might be.

Is it so hard for you all to get that - Is it so hard for you to put yourself in her position? Is it so hard for you to realize that it is not YOUR place to tell her your opinion about her dad?

Apparently it is because you people feel - seemingly with glee - after all this thread was not even about Chris Nicks and you both immediately thought to slam him - compelled to point this out everytime - it is rude and uncalled for - but for some reason you all just cannot let it go - whatever

Amen sweetie. She's no longer a child--she's out here looking and she can read this crap that's being spewed about. Regardless of how much you dislike her father, have some respect for that girl please

Aside from that bullshit, i'm totally stoked and last night Tiffany and I came up with some questions to submit. Backsasser love all the way--i'm totally stoked!!!

Honestly, how busy can Stevie really be? Maybe she is recording, but it's not 24/7. She rarely makes public appearances. I don't think she is busy at all....just resting.....

Ooooh, what'd you guys come up with? I couldn't think of anything cool, so I asked Sharon the typical crappy "what's your fave tune to do live?" I asked Lori if she'll ever tour again & also what she thinks of Jessi wanting to get into the music biz.

BTW - I also asked both if they can tell us for sure what Stevie says in Seven Wonders. :p

If we are going to start censoring ourselves in fear that Stevie's niece is going to read these threads maybe we should get rid of the one that talk about sex, drugs and abortion.

I think I asked five-six between Sharon and Lori. I asked Lori if it was true that she plans on going back out on the road with Stevie. I asked Sharon if she and Lori come up with the vocal harmonies on their own or if Stevie has a lot of imput and together they decide on them. I asked Sharon what is the most challenging part of translating vocals from the studio to the stage--I believe I also asked her if since so much of her career has revolved around Stevie's, would she continue singing with other artists when Stevie retires or if she would retire as well. I'm pretty sure I asked some others but those are the questions I remember  Good thinking on the Seven Wonders too

I asked Sharon 3 questions. 1) If Dancer ever recorded anything, even informally, and what their shows were like (covers vs. original material), 2) How the harmony arrangements on Stevie's songs get worked out (e.g. does Stevie basically have them planned, does she leave it up to Sharon and Lori, etc). 3) If Sharon ever co-wrote anything with Stevie besides Blue Water. Also does she do much songwriting on her own and if so has she contemplated doing a solo project as an outlet.

Even thought this question was not directed at me I'm going to answer it! LOL

I could only think of two things:

For Sharon: What's the story behind that fateful performance when Stevie jumped up from the audience to sing with her in Maui lo' those many years ago, and what was her initial reaction.

For Lori: Will you ever tour with Stevie or the Mac again?

Obvious as hell but I still want to know!

I asked Sharon about her backup singer dance choreography (you KNOW they practice those moves backstage :D ) , and if she ever wanted to be a dancer. This was kind of a light-hearted, half-serious question. I hope she gets a kick out of it. I also asked if she ever got thrown off when Stevie made unexpected lyric changes onstage, like during Edge of Seventeen.

For Lori, I mentioned that she sounded a lot like the great Kate Bush on "in the cool silent moments" in Planets of the Universe, and asked who her musical influences were. I was also curious if she would ever consider touring again, but I figured someone else probably already asked that one.

I spoke with Sharon about meeting Stevie in Hawaii but I can't remember what she said! I think I was just like, "I can't believe I'm talking to Sharon about Stevie." Too starstruck!

I've tried, but my brain stuck. :o

To Sharon: Which SYW song that hasn't been included in the tour setlist would you like to perform live?

To Lori: What is your fondest memory of the work you did on Trouble in Shangri-La?

Agreed. I made no response in the hope that we wouldn't have to go through this again. Apparently, the fates deemed it necessary. Sigh. :(

CRAP! I responded to something. Came back to edit what I said. Now I’m back to remove the entire thing. If it offended anyone “I’m sorry.” I admit I’m an a$$hole at times and recognize it. I’ll try to be a better cowboy but it’s not easy. I talked to God about it, but he’s busy helping someone wanting snow in Texas. Well I never…. Who the…nevermind. :distress:

Hi all:

I don't post or read messages here regularly, so I don't know what the "beef" is with Stevie's brother Chris. What did he do to get himself the label "pig"???

Several fans have met him - some say he was really nice, most say otherwise.

He sure was busy helping me! And I've got icy snowball bruises to prove it. The trick is -- you have to ask NICELY. And while you may have never, yo mama and daddy certainly did. ;)

As for the Ask the Backup Singer thing, I was all excited to ask a question. But, I just now logged onto The Nicksfix to do so, and noticed that the questions would be sent to Lori and Sharon RANDOMLY from those submitted. I mean, really, why should I waste my time, if they're probably not even going to see my question and decide THEMSELVES if they want to answer it or not? I know, I know, it's SO HARD to cut-and-paste, or click the "forward" button on an e-mail program...

Can we stage a revolt, and re-nominate Stevie-Nicks.Info as the official site? It's WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better. (Hi Daniel! Keep up the GOOD work! :xoxo:)
