Since we were posting our Fleetwood Mac Song of the Moment on the Rumours Thread, I thought it would be fun if we put up the Stevie song that we were into at the moment too.
I'll start us off:
"If You Ever Did Believe"

The European mix of I Miss You. It's faster than the original (gee, it lags when you listen to them back to back...ugh! LOL) and I just love it. I've been listening to it alot lately. :)

AND it's got absolutely nothing to do with the fact it's a Stevie solo effort but Lindsey just happens to play guitar on it...

Um, truth be told...I'm not even entirely sure which guitar part he plays. Is it the lil acoustic strumming at the beginning?

Touched by an Angel, the alt. version of Bombay Sapphires, I Need to Know, Somebody Stand By Me, and Silent Night (not only b/c Stevie sings it, but also b/c it is my favorite Christmas Carol).

I was playing the extended album version of POTU last night, and what a fantastic extension it is. Makes the song imo. So I guess that's my Stevie song of the moment because I think I'm in the mood to play it again, right now. :)

The alternate version of "Sleeping Angel" that I recently downloaded. For the life of me, I can't remember which site it was -- maybe someone else knows. The lead vocal and ending are totally different, and there's more mandolin. I think a fan remastered it from the reels.
'Rooms on Fire' is always on hand at any given moment.

These have been my songs of the moment for quite a while, with new entries every now and then:
Space Needle, My Heart, Christian, Joan Of Arc (I'm not sure if I should put it on this list or the one with FM songs of the moment :p ), Crystal (Practical Magic soundtrack), Enchanted, Garbo, Trouble in Shangri-La, Bombay Sapphires (official and alternate version), POTU (extended mix), Bella Donna.

Here are mine:
All the Beautiful Worlds- I love the chorus.
Julia- Especially the "I love the stars..." part in the middle of the song. The way she sings those lines with the answer back by Lori & Sharon gives me chills.
Blue Lamp- "GUARDIAN!!!" She really rocks on this song. My fav version is the one where she vamps at the end by singing If you were my love.

Although it is not just Stevie
I keep listening to "When I see you again" from Tango
I am finding it so haunting- It was written so long ago-but has that whole destiny rules logic going on- Remember it's like 20 years ago, she is going into or at a rehab facility-so frightened about what the future holds for her and Lindsey, when she gets out- (who will she be-who will he have become in her absense-has her very best friend been replaced by another
Her pleading for things to be the same" WHEN I see you again..."
And Lindsey's final vocals and acoustic guitar and the response of
"IF, I see you again....will it be over?
If I see you again, will it be the same---again and again...over and over..."
I love this tune and had not listened to it in years but I popped in my Tango tape, and remember...

GateandGarden, you are not alone. I LOATHE "I Miss You." I think I've only managed to listen to the whole song maybe twice in the four years I've had TISL -- and I listen to the album a lot.

How can people hate I Miss You? That song is so beautiful. I love the lyrics "Paris to Rome, London to Paris, always goodbye I nearly couldn't bear it, her heart settles down, she's back on that staircase on the way up to her place" It's Perfection!

Moony....
My sweet,
How can you loathe Love Changes, when there are so many other songs ou of her catalog to choose from.? It is catchy, it's kind of 00's with the musical applioaction and she sounds great....what is not to love and PLEASE don't tell me you love EVERYDAY or SOCERRER from the CD and I promise...I will cry
Explain to me whay you hate this song...I am curious, and think that I can change your mind
!!exclipse!!
Because it sucks, that's why!!!
No but in all seriousness....the music just drives me insane. It's so cheesy and ...blah. I hate, HATE the chorus. HATE. I put it on right now just to make sure..and yes, I'm barfing.
Conversely, I LOVE I Miss You. And, Sorcerer is great :)

I'm addicted to "I call you missing" right now...*ok, note to self, don't talk about being addicted to a song because it reminds you you need a "i call you missing fix NOW!*

Does it count if it wasn't actually released...
I am looving...Annabelle Lee from the Fleetwood Mac Reels, so that would be my pick
But, if it has to be a realeased song...I keep hearing Crying in the Night (Buckingham/Nicks) , in my head the last few days...and by the way, I haven't left anyone crying in the night

the alternative version from the Remastered Rumours record.. I just heard this track on XM Radio's the Loft - channel 50. I wouldn't have been surprised to hear the original version, but hearing the alt. cut was nice.. a very nice surprise..
I bought XM Satellite radio about a month ago, and it has turned out to be my favorite new toy. I've heard Cryin' in the Night twice now on the satellite.. this morning the dj said he had to get out the vinyl for that one.. refering to Crying in the Night. Buckingham Nicks on the radio... who would have thought??..
I also heard Soul Drifter and Stephanie on the Loft.... for the record, my commercial radio has been thrown out my window...

Fire Burning :D
I kind of get this song.
Fave cheesy lines?
"I will you know, so take it to the limit!
I will , you know, as I always have"
"Well I understand, your position, I withdraw - my decision"

I've been listening to Other Side of the Mirror a lot lately. It is a super good album. Some of her worst lyrics, but I absolutely get wrapped up in the magic of that album. My favorite line of Fire Burning is the opening. "A huge fire was burning." So funny! So, Stevie, it was a REALLY BIG fire, right? Well, I mean, you said it was, didn't you?
My song du jour is Two Kinds of Love from OSOTM. I know it's cheesy, but I mega love that song!

don't forget, her actual first line is: "BUUUUUURRRRNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNN" Which is one of my favorite lines. I like OSOTM, too...But I think "2 Kinds of Love" 10 Kinds of Sucks, so...but it's been growing on me, against my will. I listen to it just because I love how the harmony sounds. I don't listen to it all the time, though...
Wait - You MEGA love it? Not just love it? I mean, how much do you love it?

I've been on a jazz kick lately, so I haven't been listening to much Stevie. And when I have, it's been TOSOTM, just because that's the one I have in my car.
I'm really ready for her to put out something new.
