i was gonna do the x-mas one w/ chris isaak but i just didn't think it was that great of a pic of stevie so i did wh instead. ok - i had some blonde moments too (i'm swedish so that makes it ok, right?) ...
here's what i had to do (per the instructions on her download page):
I made the folder for plus! (my computer did not have it even though my computer came w/ xp)
then i downloaded the desktop manager to the plus! file (i downloaded this from the link on her page)
then i downloaded winzip (again from the link on her page) to the programs folder
i think i had to register both of them as trials, instead of purchasing the actual programs
then i downloaded the background/screensavers to a new folder i made called "themes"-this was a sub folder in the plus! folder
then i opened winzip, choose the files in "themes" to unzip...
AND THIS IS WHERE I GOT BLONDE/CONFUSED...I WAS MAKING IT MORE DIFFICULT THAN IT REALLY WAS...
it asks you where you want to download them to. i didn't know what to do. it ended up i just downloaded them to the same place (the "themes" folder)
then open up desktop manager, use the browse feature to find your unzipped files...and voi la!
hope that helps. just reread the instructions on her page if you have problems-it is not as difficult as it seems and her instructions are very thorough and helpful.
good luck!

ALso, I emailed Claudia with this question (it might be a good FYI for you) and here is her prompt(!) and friendly(!) response:

Hello Ricoh ~
Yes, there is! I wanted the same thing, as I didn't
want the music playing all of the time. When you first
unzip the screensaver, and double-click on the .exe
file to install it, it shows you a little preview of
it in the box there, and there should be a button both
below and at the top of the little window that says
'properties' ~ go there, and then select 'mute sound'
amongst the choices. These directions are for Windows
XP, but I assume the set-up is similar for other
versions of Windows, as well. If you still cannot find
it, let me know, and I'll have John (he makes these
for me) help you out.
Thanks so much for writing, and Happy Holidays! :)

Hi Everyone ~
I'm Claudia, the webmisstress of www.crystalvisionsdesigns.com ~ let me know if you have any questions or download problems with the themes, and I'll help any way I can! There is a theme instruction page there, too, as was mentioned, but sometimes it can be a little confusing to understand what goes where, I know...it took me a few times to figure it out, but the themes are sure fun to use and the screensavers can have mp3's playing or you have the option to turn them off. For those who just saw the Chris Isaak Christmas special ~ I have a theme posted of them featuring an mp3 of 'Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town' that sounds great. Sorry the pic of them isn't better...I was really limited on large quality photos of the two of them, to use for it. :( I hope these are enjoyed by everyone, and Happy Holidays!
Much Love ~

Hi Nancy ~ you're very welcome! :) Although they are made with my wallpapers, my friend John is the one who makes the themes and screensavers, and he's learning new things with the programs all the time. I'm grateful he's willing to share these with me, so I can post them!
