I was CD shopping yesterday, and noticed a couple of Bernie Leadon solo albums, one released just last year. Anyone familiar with his solo work? Recommend it?

I was unaware that Bernie had done any solo albums. I AM, however, somewhat familiar with his excellent work on the first couple of Flying Burrito Bros albums (with Gram Parsons & Chris Hillman)

He had a band called the Bi-Polar Bears. I just saw him here at the last SXSW festival. He also played guitar on most of the Street Angel tracks. :wavey:

To answer your question, I wasn't really blown away by what I'd heard.

familiar with either of his solo recordings (Natural Progressions on Asylum Records from 1977 & Mirror released through Really Small Intertainment in 2003) but I would like to check his novelty act "Run C&W" which performed Rap songs as country music

Yes...and I think it sounds great!

Based on the above posts, it sounds like he's multi-faceted if nothing else!
