So, I'm here in DC on this internship....I'm pretty bored right now (I'm burning a boring as hell cd in real time...it sucks...)
Anyway, I didn't bring enough Stevie music with me to DC.
I only brought two cds...I don't know what I was thinking!!! I just realized today how much I miss being able to have whatever I want to listen to at my disposal...sigh.
I really want to hear Enchanted (the song) for some reason...and actually wouldn't mind listening to Street Angel (the album)..haha...but I can't...and it's frustrating...I think a whole night of Stevie music will be in order when I go back to NM....
So yeah..this it toally random - I just thought I'd share :D
Ever gone through Steve withdrawls?

I never travel without her music, but it never fails, I'll have RAL and crave hearing the White Album or a concert video.
If you think it'll help, I'll listen to Enchanted and then press my head against the monitor. ;)

Nope, I have no computer at which to download....the work ones don't allow that...as it's NPR and there are more "important" things to do haha...and I don't have one at home....
Guess I just have to ride out my withdrawls...hopefully I won't get night shakes ;)

Gosh, that is so sad. I've accidentally been without stevie before, and i just start singing to myself...obsessively.... :o I bet a place in town has a computer you can use...maybe one of us could mail you something? I could burn a fair variety of things right now, though admittedly Enchanted wouldn't be one of them. And i could bring Street Angel to work tomorrow, burn it, and mail it off, free postage even!

Thanks, that's very nice of you, but I"m going to try and stick it out....my friend who lives here has a computer, so I'm sure he'll let me download a few songs....
I think this experience will just help me to appreciate the Stevie I left behind all the more....and there is the drive from New Mexico to New York to keep me listening and listening to Stevie :D

I had major Stevie withdrawls one day at work when they played If Anyone Falls, and so I had most of Wild Heart stuck in my head... for like 2 1/2 hours. I ended up listening to that album like 10 times when I got home.

Yeah - before the first Stevie concert I went to I decided to go on a Stevie/FM fast so that I could better appreciate the show lol...
Seriously...a couple of days into my fast I started having really wild FM/Stevie dreams...it was crazy....haha...
Anyway, yeah...it's going to be a really long drive....I won't do all Stevie though....I'll disperse her throughout the trip...

I always play her music on the way to a concert, and I love hearing her voice blasting on the venue parking lot from various cars. This last time for the Woodlands show, my co-worker drove, and the car was such a piece of drek it didn't even have a tape deck, let alone a CD player. I had all this music with me & it just sat there.

...and I love blasting it on the way out too. Listening to Stevie on post concert high. I took my friend Steve with me to the first Fleetwood Mac show in Philadelphia (i turned him into a big Stevie Nicks fan so he had to go) and on the way out, WMGK played the entire concert back so I opened up the moonroof and the windows and we cruised home. I have to say, there's something more exciting about hearing a song on the radio VS playing it on CD. Then again, maybe i'm just a nerd  Deanna, I hope you're able to get some more Stevie music

The one thing that makes trying to get out of a parking lot after a concert is the blaring of the artists music from various cars...I do enjoy that...
When I saw Stevie in Albuquerque, some radio station was playing nothing but Stevie - that was greatness...we listened before and after the show....as many others did...it was great....but the traffic was awful...tons of lanes to get IN, only one to get out hahha..it sucked...but a couple in the car in front of us were uh...passing the time in each others' pants...haha...love was in the air I guess
I was juts at a little used cd shop, they had a Street Angel for $2.50, I almost caved...but decided I'm not desperate enough to buy a cd I already have...and one that's not on the highest spot on my list...

Well, you know what they say...desperate times call for desperate measures. You might have to cave

That's an example of "desperate times call for desperate measures". You would've then heard "Amber sings Stevie really loud" if that had been me  Actually, when i unexpectedly got to go to the San Jose show, my friend who was giving me a ride played rap the whole way - it was very disconcerting, but i WAS getting a ride, albeit from people who didn't care about mac as much as me - which actually made the fact that they were willing to go more special. But still, i was singing mac in my head :D
