I've just bought this and wondered what people's views were on it. It's mainly interviews and snippets of the band, no live stuff by them. It's basically a rip off. Fleetwood Mac do not endorse or authorise this DVD.
There's various interviews with Bob Brunning and he says that when Mick went to the recording studios in the USA, he heard Stevie singing on the demo and said "wow who is that, I want her in my band" and apparantly he wanted her in the band and not Lyndsey, but I thought it was the other way around that he heard Lyndsey play first and Mick asked Lyndsey to join and Lyndsey said that he and Stevie would only join his band together as they were a team and came as a complete package.
Can anyone confirm this?

In his book, Mick said he was interested in this fantastic guitar player, though he ends the chapter saying he was also impressed by a beautiful girl, who was asking to add birds sounds in her song (she was recording at the studio).
And the chapter ends with..
"Her name, he said, was Stevie Nicks"
It's like a romantic /Destiny kind end for the chapter, and the beginning of the Rumours lineup era.
But actually the main interest was on Lindsey, since he desperately was looking for a guitar player. About Stevie, I think he was impressed on her beauty (first impression of course)

Hi pip
Yes, I read the book, thats where I got the info from and from all you ledgies too of course.
The DVD is dated 2004 so I'm not sure when they interviewed Bob, but yes, I think he got it wrong this time.

Ha Ha, not that's me, I have a problem spelling Lindsey's name like this, as in UK it's a girl's name and the spelling of a girl's name. Sorry, I get confused with this.

Hi
I ordered it from Amazon and it was $10.49, its ok because there are a few interviews and it goes back to the early days of how Fleetwood Mac was formed ie; Peter Green days. It explains what happened to those band members. There are film clips, interviews and rare photographs and it looks at 30 years of rock n rol lhistory from the perspective of one of the worlds most enduring bands.
It runs for one hour and for the price, I thought it was worth having a look at.

I bought this DVD the day it was released, and I think it's OK...it's basically a story of the evolution of Fleetwood Mac as seen through the eyes of others, including Neil of the "Go Your Own Way" (www.fleetwoodmac-uk.com) website. It featured quite a few photos I had not seen before, so for that reason alone, I'm glad I have it for my collection. I don't think it's THE documentary to have about the band for all time, but it's certainly worth buying for your collection, in my opinion.
