I didn't take great offense to it, but that's nice that she did that.

Personally, I found the reaction of fans who said they wouldn't see the film more ridiculous than the comments Sara Rue made.

That's cool she did that. :)

Nothing she said would have stopped me from seeing the film, and I wasn't offended in some major way... but I did think her comments were rude and lacked class. I was also surprised because she had previously spoken very highly of Stevie.

Glad to see that it was all indeed a miscalculated attempt at humor.

I'm not clear why her apology is being passed through another actress. I know that sounds cynical of me, but I'd rather hear it from the source.
That having been said, I'm sure it was all just a lame attempt at humor, as she said.

What's the film like? Don't make me do my own research, god forbid... :wavey:

Uh...I missed this. What did she say??

She said that Stevie is a "coked out old has-been" and that she "sounds like a goat". Not a good way to promote a movie that will only appeal to Stevie Nicks fans!

Anyways, I don't like her personality. Did anyone else see her on trading spaces? The designers created this really cool room for her and the first thing she said when she walked in and saw it was "It's grey!" and made nasty comments implying that the room she created was much better.

I'm glad no one laughed at those tasteless comments from her interview though. However, I can understand if she was just trying to add some comedy to her interview. She might want to stick to scripted sitcoms though.

"Sara hopes that Stevie fans will continue to support "Gypsy 83", as she continues to suport the film herself."

That pretty much sums it up right there. Money makes people say the most insincere things sometimes. Anyway, I guess it's cool that she got some negative feedback on what she said, and it made her squirm a little!

Yup, I'm glad that people didn't just sit back and take that kind of crap. Us Stevie fans need to be vocal!

I agree, the fact that her apology is going thruough someone else tells me that she doesnt mean it...

yeah, nice gesture, although I have a feeling it wasn't sincere. Whatever. She never should have made those comments in the first place. In her "lame attempt at humour" she fell flat on her face. Why did she ever think that anyone would take that as a joke? It didn't sound like one...

A comment made on national tv verses a comment made on an obscure web site . . . I agree, it's not quite equal. It would be nice if she contacted Stevie/her management and apologised directly there. Cool that The Penguin and it's posters made enough "virtual" noise to at least get a response. Who ELSE would want to see this film other than FM/Stevie fans. Why bite the hand that feeds. I personally don't see "the humour" in the comments that were made. The article was a step in the right direction.

Well, Susan Childs isn't exactly an "actress," unless you consider being an extra in one film an actress....She's Bear's friend. You can see her on the Fan Club show - she's a Stevie fan...so, apology accepted. :p
