View Full Version : Song You Wish Stevie Would Sing On Her Next Solo Tour...

This question happened upon me after listening to RAL several times over the past 48 hours. I'd forgotten how much I absolutely love the album and how amazing the songs are. I'd love to hear her sing Some Become Strangers on tour (among many other things but this song is my latest obession...again). What's one song from all of her solo albums that you'd love to have her pull out of the archives and sing?

Oh, my. It's too painful to choose one because there are so many. Can I do two?!;) I have to go with Long Way To Go and Listen To The Rain. (I also think it would be more than interesting for her to do the fast version of I Sing For The Things.)

It's always been a dream of mine for her to sack the Outside the Rain/Dreams medley and replace it with an Outside the Rain/Sable On Blonde medley.
That's what I want and I'm sticking to it. :p

Your telling me! That song was one of my favorites till I listed to it about 6 billion times! Its such a great song! RAL is my 3rd fave SN album. I would really like to hear Love Changes from TiSL

I can definitely dig that! I have to admit, I was a little disappointed when she didn't open with OTR on the TISL Tour. (I love me some Waddy, but damn him for this one little detail!;)) That's one tradition I never grow tired of. It's so exciting and passionate and I missed her throwing the roses. Plus, by the time my show rolled around she had dropped it entirely:(.

I have mad-crazy OSOTM love and Long Way To Go is one of my faaaaavorite songs so for her to sing that? I'd be stoked. If you've not ever heard the remix of the song, you need to get it ASAP. Excellent choice  I'd love to hear this one live

I just listened to the remix today, actually. :xoxo:
Have you heard the master reel versions? They're much longer by almost two minutes and have some really weird alt. lyrics at the end. She sings and then screams something like "Bye, bye, blackbird! Oh no, not the blackbirds! Oh no!"

You all are cheaters! But you picked great songs so I can't disagree. I Miss You would be a nice Buckingham Nicks song...Lindsey on guitar again and male vocals. That would be amazing. If I Were You is another RAL song i'm obsessing over too so yep, that would have to go on the setlist

It's a beautiful dream, D. But can you imagine that final repeat of "Just how deep - do you hold that dream....in your hands each night, in your hands each night? " sung two octaves lower ? Tragic. You would diss that within an inch of it's life !! As would I !

I Want either How Still My Love or Kind of Woman. How Still My Love is the solo equivlent of me wanting her to SOTM in Fleetwood Mac. And Kind Of Woman would be perfect as what Rose Garden and Sleepng Angel were in the Enchanted set. I'd die to hear Kind Of Woman. I'd also love Blue Lamp or Gold And Braid. And yes to Long Way To Go and I'll add Nothing Ever Changes. Although those 2 seem VERY unlikely. AND PLEASE STEVIE DITCH HAEWAFY.

Sorry, I'm not a Long Way To Go fanatic. I'm not loving the keyboards.
Nothing Ever Changes was the first to come to my mind, along with Wild Heart. Those top my list.
I'd also love to hear Blue Lamp, Touched By An Angel, Rock A Little, Juliet, Trouble In Shangri-la, Imperial Hotel, Love Is Like A River, and The Highwayman.

I love Wild Heart and I looove Rock A Little (mainly for Sharon's backing vocals). I'm not sure how Stevie would sound singing it now. I do love The Highwayman though. I'd be all for that. I think we need to write a "Please Stevie, sing these songs..." letter :p

I agree. I think it's definately possible and i'd love to hear her perform the song live before she retires several several years from now ;) I'm still so glad that she performed Beautiful Child on this tour. I hope the next Fleetwood Mac tour she'll consider performing Storms or even Angel and of course, Sisters of the Moon. However, i'm not so sure if it can top Mirage SOTM...

But, then again, that would be performed on a Fleetwood Mac tour and not a Stevie solo tour so I suppose I could understand her reservations on performing it.

Violet and Blue ("Taaaaaaaaake it wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiith you!!!) if she doesn't do that then don't even bother
The Blue Lamp
Also to add, I love Stevie's solo tours. She just comes out and kicks some ass. She's been way too subdued for this Fleetwood Mac tour, I've been waiting for her to come out of her skin a little and it hasn't really happened yet. I hope she ups the voltage for her next solo tour, at least one last time!

Do you think she will do Sara on her next solo tour since that has come off so well on this last leg of the tour? Because sadly, she has only gotten to sing it like thirty times and that will be it. Hopefully it won't take her another 15 years to bring it back into the setlist!
I'd also love for her to do Beautiful Child on her next solo tour, but that is a long shot.

I doubt she will perform Sara on her next solo tour myself. She would be out of her comfort zone without FM, if you know what I mean. She is comfortable with this arrangement, with her backing band, with Sharon, Jana and LB's harmonies...I just think she would be "worried" about how it would come off without that exact formula. It's just Stevie..she is a nervous nelly.
As far as BC...I love this song, I always have. I do like how it sounds on this tour with Lindsey singing on it as well. So, I am not sure how it would come off in a solo effort to me.

I think she does enough Mac songs in her solo set already these days. I'd sooner she add more solo songs that she has never performed for us.
But I think she could please a lot of us by performing Smile At You the way it is on the demos.

Hey, Riss. I'm surprised you're not using the Staaa Baaa Icon Of Doomâ„¢ in your signature to torture me. Lord knows we can't have a SINGLE conversation without one of us bringin' up the backswayers.
