Does anyone has the Brian Wilson demo "Stevie", that's supposed to be about our dear Stevie Nicks. I'd really love to hear it if anyone could post it on their site or send it to me.

Please PM me or reply this post.

Thanks.

Hi Sarah,

I just updated my site (http://www.geocities.com/johnnystew/) (finally), and added "Stevie" for everyone to hear.

Thinking about it, I believe I still owe Gldstwmn the "Seven Wonders" outtake, that I promised a year and a half ago! :o :o :o

Johnny Stew was kind enough to send me this MP3 ages ago, but I've only just now put up the lyrics on my site. I also did a teensy weensy bit of research on it, if you're curious. http://www.buckinghamnicks.net/sn/unreleased/stevie.html

He's not much of a songwriter, is he? Sorry to all who like those lyrics, but they sounds like a 12 year old boy wrote them. LOL

Maybe I'll download this song from JS's site and hear what it sounds like....

Don't judge Brian by this! It's not his best work, to say the least. BUT it is sweet and very flattering to Stevie that not only has she been written about by Lindsey Buckingham, Walter Egan, Sheryl Crow, and arguably Don Henley - she has inspired a Beach Boy as well!

Well, I'm not a Beach Boys/Brian Wilson fan anyways. As for the song...eh.

Yeah, it kinda sounds like a Beach Boys type song - obviously. But if you're not into it then you probably wouldn't like it.

Uh...slightly off topic, and I probably don't want to know, but go here: http://www.brianwilson.com/cgi-bin/webforum/viewmessage.cgi?r=1698148&l=level3 (the link from BuckinghamNicks) and then tell me...uh what did they do with ground beef and cocaine???

I could be wrong, but I believe that refers to Dennis going to McDonald's, getting a bag of hamburgers, and giving Brian a hamburger for each new song he wrote.

Seriously.

I would love to hear it, but I keep getting an error message once I click on "Stevie." Is there something wrong with the site or is it me? If it is me, could someone send it to me? Please and thank you.

Just to comment on this oldie, "Stevie" was written during the infamous cocaine sessions, not during the infamous hamburger sessions. ;)
