Russ Kunkel (Stevie drummer) connection to Cass Elliott?

I was watching an A&E Biography about Cass Elliott (Mamas & Papas) today. One of the people talking about her was someone named Leah Kunkel, who turned out to be Cass' sister. Does anyone know if she is related to Russ Kunkel (which, obviously, would make Russ related to Cass)?

(In case you're not sure who I'm talking about, Russ was Stevie's drummer on the WWD and Street Angel Tours.)

Leah Elliott Kunkel was Russ Kunkel's first wife! His second wife (I think she was wife #2--I could be wrong) was Nicollette Larson who died a few years ago from either kidney or liver disease.

I'm not sure if Nicolette was Russ' 2nd wife, either. Somewhere between Leah & Nicolette, he was SERIOUSLY involved with Carly Simon, whether they were ever married, I don't know. (yeah, weird, eh? Since Russ was James Taylor's drummer when James & Carly were married...what is it with drummers?) :shrug:
