I just heard from a publicist at Koch Records that the U.S. release date for "In the Meantime" has been delayed until Sept. 7! :(
No word on why they chose to hold it.

Well, Sept. 7th is my birthday... so that's kind of cool. But I'm really looking forward to this album, and I'll be disappointed if it really has been delayed. :(

Oh COME ON. July 27th had me pissed, now this just has me FURIOUS. September 7th  Well at least its coming out. And at least if the Mac tour ends before this, it'll be what we have to look forward to.

This is not such a big deal for me since I've already pre-ordered the U.K. release from Sanctuary Records. HOPEFULLY, that won't be delayed. THEN, I'd be very upset.

I wonder if this has anything to do with getting the Fleetwood Mac tour finished & out of the way before Christine's album is released.

I just checked the Koch website. The release date has been changed to Sept. 7th.

oh! That's too bad about the release date - I was looking forward to listening to it this summer. I guess now it's something to look forward to in the fall.

Macfan57, how much was the import, with shipping?
I don't think I'll make it til Sept 7!

Homer, including air mail shipping, it was between $20-$21. Because of the currency fluctuations, that's only an estimate. I bought that Madison Blues box set last year from Amazon U.K. When Amazon eventually charged my credit card it was only about 40 cents more than the original estimate that they gave me when I pre-ordered it. I'm sure it's going to be pretty close to the $20-$21 range. By the way, the shipping was very fast. I got the box set just over a week after they shipped it to me. If I were you, I'd go for it. Sept. 7th is a long way off. :)

$28? Are you in the U.S.? I just checked Amazon again & it gave me an estimate of $20.57. $28 dollars doesn't sound right.

prices will vary according to when you buy it, due to currency conversion flux. :)

The reason it doesn't: I opted for Priority Express.

I like my stuff delivered as soon as humanly possible. :D

That is probably why it's a little more moola.

OK, that makes sense now. I know about currency fluctuations, but 8 dollars is ALOT.

you definitely don't want to know how much i paid when i ordered. it was obscene. usually i keep on top of these things when i'm ordering from different countries, but i was just in too much of a hurry to reserve a copy that i threw caution to the wind. and frankly, i still think it's well worth it. a good investment indeed!

I was looking at Amazon.co.uk today and notice that you can buy the US import version of In the Meantime released 7 September for £14.99.

so we Brits could wait another 3 months and pay £7 more!

Why would anyone want to do that?

Is the US version going to be different?

I wouldn't think anyone would be that stupid to want to pay that much more & wait another almost 3 months. ;) I can't believe that there are any extra tracks on the U.S. Koch release. That would be the only logical reason anyone would want to do that.

Gail, thanks for the heads up on the U.S. release on the Amazon site. I started a new thread. I had stopped checking the U.S. Amazon site when I heard about the delayed released date. I wasn't expecting to see anything at least until late June or July.
