Yes...it's a clothing thread. Not important in the grand scheme of things, but fun. As long as it doesn't turn into a Reebok bashing thread:rolleyes:, we'll be alright.:)
What is your favorite clothing COLOR on Stevie?
It's very hard to decide, but I like the pale pink she's been wearing recently (HAEWAFY sheer jacket on TISL Tour and the Goodbye Baby shawl). Which leads me to think of the pastels she wore on the Tusk Tour. I love the pale grey/lavendar combined with red like she wore on the cover of '80 Rolling Stone.
And since I will never be able to pick "just one"...I also like her in dark blue, i.e. the 'Bella Donna shawl', which was resurrected on the Street Angel Tour.
Also--any single outfits (from a specific photo, tour, etc.) that just make you think "That is my favorite Stevie outfit. Ever. Period."?? (Though I see the opportunity here to rank on her current tour look, let's give it a rest;) :) ) I can't think of any ONE right now, but am wondering if anyone else can!

My favorite all time Stevie outfit is from the RAL album cover....
Next the I Can't Wait Video,
then Gypsy and SOTM from the Mirage VHS Concert

I think the rust/red color she wore in The Dance era was just beautoful. I also like her in black, just not the same black all of the time. When she was younger, the white just looked so good on her. I am sure it still does, but she never wears it
I LOVE YOU STEVIE NO MATTER WHAT YOU WEAR

I loved the black dress with the gold "triangles" in the skirt she wore during some of her tv performances during the TISL push.
but my all-time favorite is the Red Dress from Tusk...
and of course, her hats are always fun to see!!
One of my favorites that comes to mind immediately is the cover of the 1997 Rolling Stone. The red dress w/ tan boots. Love it! :) In fact pretty much anything red looks great on her. The back cover of TOSOTM is another of my favorites. And though not very popular with many fans, I actually liked the 1990/1991 Behind the Mask/Timespace looks
count me in for the rust/red clothes....i am so sick of seeing her in black all the time.
anyway, i always liked the fitted velvet jackets she wore alot on the Tusk tour...she had several different colors of those. i also love the berets she used to wear. i think she brought a black one back for that performance she did with Sheryl Crow a few years back...i saw a pic of it but can't find it ever since.

Just black combined with different colors of shawls and such. Except for the Time Space era, that was a bit too much.
I also loved the red dress she wore for Top of rhe Pops back in 89. She looks good in red.

I'd have to go with the one on the Buckingham Nicks cover.;)
I like the Seven Wonders get-up, the silvery one with the white shawl thing on the shoulders.
To be honest, the color doesn't matter to me as much as the cut of the outfit.

The burgundy dress she wore in the Hold Me video
I love the many outfits she wore in the Talk to Me video especially the sunset scene with the silvery outfit and the scene near the chavel mirror in that velvet shawl.
Definitely the Seven Wonders video and that silver white outfit.
The red body suit, chiffon skirt and shawls with gold in it that she wore during the Wild Heart tour.
The BellaDonna cover outfit.
The red dress and cream colored boots she wore on the cover of Rolling Stone in 1997.

Can I just say that I really like her current dress with the button down sweater? I really like it, but it looked better earlier in the tour, when she was really thin and it was somewhat baggy on her. It looks a little small on her now, because I am sure it has shrunk from dry-cleanings and it looks like she may have put on a little weight during the tour. Not to be mean though... I have put on so much weight this Christmas you wouldn't beleive! Now I am wearing black and trying to look slim. I'm going for the Stevie style- all black!

I thought that was one of the sexiest pictures...I absolutely LOVE that outfit and I'm fairly certain she has one in black as well that looked gorgeous on her. I do like her in black and in red and i'm probably in the minority of people that like black. When you take someone with blonde hair and stick them in black, I think depending on the design on the outfit and if it's tailored properly, it just looks really classy and beautiful, IMO. Same thing when you stick a brunette in some white

I'm a red/rust fan. I also love the cream dress that she wore in the Everyday video. :D
She needs to retire the Italian widow dress.

Add me to the list of people who think Stevie looks GREAT in red and should revive it in her wardrobe. I love the red velvet dress she wears on the cover of TOSOTM album, though that's not exactly something you wear onstage or in everyday life ;). The red outfit she wore on the cover of RS in '97 was beautiful, as was the red dress she wore a couple times on the Rumours tour (see attached). I also love the cream colored outfit she wore in the Sorcerer video.

Faves:
All time: Dress on the back of Rumors album, what color was it btw? (I want one like that)
Performance: Like the whitish dress from Tusk, or the black dress from Rumors.
Album cover: WH, love the cloak
Video: gypsy dress, the one where she is dancing in the forest.
General: Red, but TOSOTM was a little too much (not talking about the cover, but tour pics).
As for todays fashion, well she just looks like she is perpetually ready to attend a funeral. Too much black.
BTW has she ever worn purple? Just curious as its my fave color:)

I'm a big fan of Stevie in red. I also really like the Sorcerer duster dress thing (whatever you would call it).
Actually, Stevie in any color is pretty good. But I think she looks best in red.

Hey Sharon,
Yep, the pin is real. I's part of a series that spells out "Hard Rock" with a different artist for every letter. My friend picked one up for me a couple years ago... they are pretty neat :).
Lucky - I love the "Rhiannon" shirt!

It's not a color. My favorite would be clear. Seeing her dressed in Saran wrap would be interesting. Anybody got a photo of that?

So many great mentions! The grey outfit (and the way she looks in general in those scenes) in the Talk To me video is definitely one of my all-time fave Stevie "looks"! And...ah, yes...the red outfit from the cover of '97 Rolling Stone. Frankly, breathtaking. The detail on that dress is amazing (the cream boots close-up photo in the Enchanted book). Something like that would be a great "style theme" for the next tour. Didn't Richard Tyler or someone design that for her? And she said she felt a little weird about it because she had never worn "big name" clothes before, but when she saw how beautiful it was she obliged? Am I making this up, or can someone correct/verify this story? I agree with the few who like her current tour clothes. I mean, she's had to think of different twists on her style for each tour and is still managing to come up with something new. When you see the little jackets close up, they are beautiful...especially the Landslide one, and it's cool seeing her in a tuxedo jacket again. I think the problem is that, unless you can get a really detailed look at the jackets, they all look the same or at least very similar. If they had different colored trim or something to make them a little more distinguishable from each other, I have to admit I think it would look better onstage. On the other hand, no one complains that she basically wore nothing but black on the Rumours tour. And as for "the dreaded black dress", Stevie had always worn a basic plain dress (or top and skirt) and changed what goes over it throughout the shows. I think it looks great too when she wears all black with colored boots. I LOVED the mahogany boots she wore on the Enchanted Tour. You wouln't have figured it, but they blended well with every different color she wore. As many have mentioned, I LOVE the OSOTM look! All of those amazing photos in the tourbook, etc. I've always had this 'thing', though, that I feel like the front and back album cover photos should be switched. And I also love the B&W photo inside the album.
And a moment of silence for the Red Rocks WWF-style gold and black belt, please.:D

Yes, I believe that is the story and I am a big Richard Tyler fan. It was a beautiful outfit and I'm pretty sure she wore his designs to the RRHOF induction ceremony in 98' and to the RRHOF induction in 2000 as well

i love the white and pink chiffon clothes she wore in the early days, and the strappy backless dresses she wore quite early on, like the one on the cover of the 1978 issue of rolling stone.
Anything red she looks amazing in.
