...or is Stevie's coiffure lacking a certain, how shall we say, "je ne sais quoi"? :(
I mean what happened to her lovely bangs? She seems to be doing this parting her hair closer to the middle with no bangs what-so-ever look as of late.
I wish everybody didn't make fun of her curled hair a few months ago. (a la cover of "Popular Musician")
Because you know she reads these forums and is one of our addicted Ledgies undercover...somewhere...reading our savage reviews of her rag curled hair...
Now, she's simply afraid to do anything with it!
Please someone give me a reality check with respect to me living in the dream that Stevie's coiffure should always look like it did on "The Wild Heart" album inner sleeve picture! :o

sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't.....I am a fan of bangs, but maybe she wanted a different hairstlye from the Dance era....I love how it looks in the Practical Magic shots.....

If this were true, there is no way in hell she would EVER set foot on stage in the in now infamous hideous black dress!

Yes ~ Yes...that may maybe true, but I suspect that our girl likes to be subtle, and to always have the last laugh.
Therefore, she maybe be wearing the black dress out of spite!
I hate to disagree with Stevie with regard to fashion, for she is an icon, and I do worship at her alter, BUT...
The wearing of black because it make one thinner theory is a complete myth that borders on urban legend/old wives tales!
It just isn't so, and as a matter of fact it can actually "black" fire (hee! hee!) on you in a bad way ~ (the wearing of all black, that is!)
Furthermore, I feel that she doesn't need to try to look thinner at this point, she looks pretty svelte now!
She has all of those wonderfully colorful garments, that it would be sacrilege not to at least wear on stage!
You would think her stylist who's been around the block awhile would clue her in?
Her hair was gorgeous for the Practical Magic shots!
Life, Love, and Magick~ ...and all in good fun!

Her hair during the Enchanted and TISL tours is the way it should be. The side sweep thing makes her look very frumpy and bland. IMO. Maybe she'll read this under cover and go back to styling it.

I agree with you entirely Tommy.
The look she has at the moment is the most unflattering she's had it for years...and that's including the back combed 'birds nest' she had during OSOTM!! (And thats saying something!! )
I think it makes her look quite serious...if you get what I'm trying to say (not sure myself!! )
Bring back the bangs (or fringe as we call it in the UK  )

Yet - she had the same style for whenver the All Access VH-1 thing was taped and she looked radiant. I am just thankful the curls in the early promo posters are gone!

I like her hair the way it is now so much more than the way she had it from The Dance until TISL. It's something different, and while I think it makes her look bit more mature, I also think she looks much younger. I'll see certain pictures or screen caps, and I think she looks just like she did in the early days.

I like it more now than in the Enchanted Days. It seems to move with her more freely, or maybe she's just feeling more free to spin more quickly with her hair the way it is. It seems more natural & wilder these days (please, no comments about the color or extensions, which is not what I mean). Her Enchanted head seemed like Marcia Brady's, brushed 100 times & then barely moving (except when walking away, when it swings side to side).

I think she should go back to the shag she had circa 1977! No, seriously, I think her hair in the Dance video (especially during Gold Dust Woman, The Chain, etc..) with the bangs and a slight wave throughout looked excellent. She looked fabulous in the Sorcerer video as well. I agree, the school marm black dress and bland hair have got to go. She is a beautiful woman who has absolutely gorgeous clothes! Oh, to be Stevie Nicks on this tour, if it were me, I would be pulling out the Gypsy attire complete with leg warmers and multi-tiered chiffon!

I love her natural look a'la my avatar.
But I love her look no matter what. She's my Gold Dust Woman.

Well, as anyone who watches "What Not to Wear" knows, black is not the ONLY thing that can make one appear slimmer. It's the CUT of the garment that can make you look slimmer, not necessarily the color. If you have a big ass and you wear black leggings and a giant black sweatshirt to "hide" your ass, you ain't foolin' no one, honey!
As for the hair of today, it's "okay" - not necessarily good hair or bad hair, imo. If she's going to wear it parted in the middle, I'd like to see some more face-framing layers cut into it - a la the shag. My favorite all-time Stevie look is the Mirage/Bella Donna era.
That's just my fashion .02!

Just to add my two cents to the hair discussion -- I can't decide. Sometimes it looks like crap, and sometimes it takes me back to the way she looked when she was younger. It was almost spooky when I was watching her from the first row in Pittsburgh and they were performing Rhiannon. Her hair, eyes, and facial expressions were really very reminiscent of the Midnight Special performance of Rhiannon that I have on video. It was like 30 years had disappeared. She was even sort of getting into it at the end a little more than usual like she has been on this tour. But like I said, sometimes it looks awful. She really needs to make sure that it doesn't get bushy or too out of control.

"Those pants make your ass look HUGE!" LOL...I love that show. And you're right about the color BUT, as we all now know, if she has to worry about color, then she has to worry whether or not the capes go with the outfit. I mean, she doesn't want her to come out looking like a member of the USC Marching band

I am confident she has a stylist and/or at least a wardrobe mistress to handle this very minor issue. I would  I say put that black dress away and haul out in the red outfit in the Mirage video suitably altered for her age and weight!!!! But then again this thread is about hair, not the black dress!!!!

I'm not a big fan of her hair right now either. It makes her head look kinda pointy or something weird. I liked it much better during the Dance or TISL. But her hair is way better than the late eighties big poofy 'do. Does anyone like her hair from that era?

C'mon now. She's 50 what? She was and is one of the most photogenic women of rock. That straight hair makes her look so sultry. Leg warmers and perms? I got through that "FlashDance" phase and so did she. The 70's? Now, that's another story. The summer dresses and the flowing locks. Yummy! Drinking cacaine and shooting whiskey! Well, they're gone now. Maybe that's why she's wearing so much black. Maybe this is her monk phase. Maybe she just doesn't want to bare here midriff like the girls do today. If she did, I'd probably pass out from the blood rushing to my "other" brain.
She's beautiful. As us guys like to say "I wouldn't kick her out of bed". Let's leave it at that.:xoxo:  :]

Oh yeah, and another thing. If she wasn't aware of what went down with the FM fan club, then I really don't think she checks out this forum all that much either. Do you?
