Whatever happened with Ginny Kamano?

In reading one of the threads on the Rumours board, someone mentioned a "Kamano moment", which got me thinking about Ginny. I never did find out what actually happened with her...anyone in the know care to enlighten me?

there's no real clear answer... there were rumors that she was fired for making fun of fans on public message boards... but there were also rumors about injuries she had in a car wreck 3 years ago...

i met her backstage at one of stevie's tisl shows at the universal amphitheater and my friends and i talked to her for quite a while and took pictures etc... since she was backstage hanging out i would assume that there weren't any bad feelings btwn her and stevie as one would assume if stevie did in fact fire her for making fun of fans in a publc forum.... it was kind of weird though.... when we were first introduced we told her our first names... then she asked us for our last names... and i suddenly got images of her going back and reading my horribly stupid fan letter from like 7 years ago...

funny story really quick... my friend at one point was digging for something in her purse and asked Ginny to hold her pack of cigarettes... then like an hour or so later Ginny was gone and my friend was looking for her cigarettes because she had some "fun cigarettes" in the pack also... well, she couldn't find them... and the last memory anyone had was of her asking Ginny to hold the pack... so we were in hysterics (a bit drunk too... not being able to pronounce "Kamano" anymore) going "oh my god i gave ginny kamananito my joints" "aaah hahahaha Ginny Kamananito is going to have a surprise when she opens that pack!" back and forth back and forth... freaking out and then laughing... freaking out and then laughing..... just then someone walked in and went "hey look what i found! how cool is this!" and my friend was like "Oh my gosh that's mine!" so it was returned... but we still laugh about it to this day and always refer to her as Ginny Kamananito

You are right, if she was at the TISL shows there isn't any problem with her & Stevie. I remember her web site was up for quite a while after they parted ways, although some of it was changed.

Funny story about the cigs, could you imagine if she had taken them?! :laugh:

Wow, I don't remember hearing about the car accident, but sounds horrible. She was a nurse by profession, wasn't she?

GysySara, Ginny Kamano was in charge of Stevie's Fan Mail for years. At one point Stevie bought her a laptop and Ginny put up a web site. I remember there being a connection between her & John Kinney's site as well. I think John helped her with her web site, which had information on Stevie's fan mail, charities, and so forth.

Wow! I hadn't heard that name in a long time.
I didn't know that she was injured in car accident either.
Thats sad.
I tried to send a letter to Stevie Years Ago and I got a reply from Ginny Kamano- Never did hear from Stevie though.
Oh well, Can't blame a Fan for trying.
