If you get the USA Today for this weekend, on page 3 in the Life Section (Section E), they talk about how "Denim Rocks the Fashion Scene". What jumped out at me is a cover of Cosmopolitan in this article. Renee Zellweger is on the cover & the caption says, "Renee Zellweger: The Stevie (Nicks). It seems this company called Rock & Republic has a new clothing line that names its jean after celebrities & Stevie is one of them. So Renee is wearing these jeans named after Stevie. This company makes other things, too, like t-shirts, and the web site is www.rockandrepublic.com which launches June 1.

How cool is that, but the jeans are between $110 - $240. I little too pricey for me & not only that, a little too tight.

How cool!!! I have to be sure to get a pair. Then, I can wear them to the concert (July 8!!!).
I wonder what other ones they have? This sounds like a cool company.

Thanks for the info! :D

What seems weid to me is that jeans have been named after Stevie! I mean, I'm all for Stevie getting attention and honors, and I know us rabid fans have seen a pic or two of Stevie in jeans back in the day, but do you think the general public thinks of her in anything but a black dress?

I thought it was a little odd naming jeans after Stevie. I mean, a long black, hankerchief hemmed, chiffon skirt, okay, but jeans?

You know what, I don't think the general public really knows anything about the black dress. I'm talking the people who only know who she is from hearing her songs, and Fleetwood Mac songs, on the radio. They don't really know that she seemingly hasn't worn a pair of jeans since like 1975!

I think a lot of people (at least in my generation...'gen Y' they call us) think of Stevie as a Chrissy Hynde, Pat Benetar, Joan Jett type...the gritty rockers (whom I love to death, but that's not our Mamas). I mean frekin' Destiny's Child had her playing the guitar in their "Bootylicious" video. They probably didn't know that she didn't actually play the song and never really plays the guitar at all.

People don't really understand that Stevie truly is in a category all her own. I'm doing by best to educate them though.
